Grants of up to $4,000 and grants of up to $10,000 to Louisiana nonprofit organizations for programs to benefit local residents in eligible locations. Funding may be used for programming, capital projects, seed capital for new organizations, or financial assistance for struggling organizations. The purpose of funding is to improve the quality of life for people in Algiers and St. Bernard Parish.

For St. Bernard Parish, the Committee typically recommends grants that do not exceed $10,000, although larger grants may be made in extraordinary circumstances. For the designated area in Algiers, the Committee typically recommends grants that do not exceed $4,000.
