5 Foundations that have given Municipalities grants in Louisiana

LEADERSHIP ASCENSION IS AN INNOVATIVE PROGRAM THAT ASSITS IN PREPARING EMERGING COMMUNITY LEADERS FOR LEADERSHIP POSITIONS IN LOCAL GOVERNMENT, BUSINESS AND COMMUNITY AFFAIRS.

To reduce the unnecessary killing of animals in shelters and improve quality of life for animals and their people, indoors and out, working with the public, partner organizations, and municipal agencies to innovate, support, and model efforts to create no-kill communities and remove the need for animal shelters and sanctuaries.

LOUISIANA MUNICIPAL ASSOCIATION EXISTS TO PROVIDE A BROAD RANGE OF SERVICES TO MEMBER LOUISIANA MUNICIPALITIES IN ORDER TO PROMOTE PROGRESSIVE LEADERSHIP, EFFICIENT DELIVERY OF PUBLIC SERVICES, AND EFFECTIVE PERFORMANCE IN GOVERNMENT.

THE ORGANIZATION WAS CREATED BY THE TERREBONNE PARISH DISTRICT ATTORNEYS OFFICE TO ASSIST IN PROVIDING AT RISK CHILDREN WITH ADVOCACY AND COUNSELING SERVICES. THE ORGANIZATION IS SUPPORTED BY GRANTS FROM STATE AND LOCAL GOVERNMENTS and FUNDRAISING EVENTS.

Community Foundation of Acadiana was created to improve the quality of life in our region. The Foundation achieves this goal by increasing charitable giving, creating meaningful and effective giving opportunities for our donors, and providing leadership in our region. These efforts are grounded in the belief that through philanthropy the Foundation can positively impact our community. The Foundation is committed to servicing and benefitting the geographic area of south-central Louisiana. It has positioned itself as a "tool" for individual donors, families and corporations to increase and enhance their charitable and philanthropic interests. It has also positioned itself as a "tool" for other entities (including local government entities) to help realize objectives and/or projects that may need an objective third party.
