Grants of up to $2,000 to Louisiana nonprofit organizations in eligible locations to support Coronavirus (COVID-19) relief efforts. Grant funds may be used for strategic planning and growth, project expenses, and operational support. Eligible applicants are based in the 5-parish region of Southwest Louisiana (Allen, Cameron, Calcasieu, Beauregard, Jeff Davis).

Qualified applicants may apply for any of the following grants, however, each organization can only be awarded for one grant:
  • Collaboration Grant: for those organizations who collaborated with one or more local organization(s) or business(es) to accomplish a synchronized and cohesive objective for the Covid-19 relief efforts.
  • Creativity Grant: for those organizations who utilized unique and resourceful methods to accomplish an objective with limited materials for the Covid-19 relief efforts. 
  • Direct Impact Grant: for those organizations who Covid-19 relief efforts had a large impact on the direct community of Southwest Louisiana.
  • Volunteerism Grant: for those organizations who utilized a volunteer force aid in the betterment of the Southwest Louisiana community for the Covid-19 relief efforts.

Awarded applicants may receive between $500 - $2,000 from Mae’s Mission.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Qualifications:

1. Organizations must meet the following requirements to apply:
- Must be a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and in good standing with the Louisiana Secretary of State
- Must be based in the 5-parish region of Southwest Louisiana (Allen, Cameron, Calcasieu, Beauregard, Jeff Davis)
- Organization must operate within a $75,000 annual operating budget -OR- employ no more than 5 full-time employees

2. Your organization's project must have aided the help of COVID-19 relief efforts.

3. Your organization acknowledges and understands:
- These funds cannot be used for expenses already covered by other stimulus or grant money.
- Awarded grant dollars can be used for operational support, project expenses and/or strategic planning and growth.

Non-Eligible Applicants:
- Individuals
- Religious or political organizations
- Organizations not in good standing with the Secretary of State
- Government agencies
- Schools and school boards

Granted funds are not permitted for:
- Individual expenses
- Projects that primarily serve a religious purpose
- Tuition or academic expenses
- Awards or cash prizes
- Lobbying expenses

These funds cannot be used for expenses already covered by other stimulus or grant money.
