Award to an Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma or Texas health information individual. Funding is intended to allow attendance at conferences, seminars, training sessions, and other opportunities in areas of outreach programming targeting underserved populations, connecting with Native American or indigenous communities.

Individuals who live within the NNLM South Central Region (Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas) and are affiliated with an NNLM SCR Network member institution are eligible to apply. (i.e. information professionals, public librarians, public health practitioners, community health workers, and others) Additionally, students enrolled in an ALA Accredited Library or Information Science Program are eligible to apply.

The funding period is Sunday, December 15, 2019, to Wednesday, April 15, 2020. Professional Development activities, conferences, or training associated with this award must take place after a formal award is offered to the applicant and all activities must be completed no later than April 15, 2020.

Applications to attend MLA or an MLA chapter Annual Meeting will not be considered.
