Request a Grant Writer

Grants of up to $5,000 to Louisiana nonprofit organizations for community projects that improve the quality of life in eligible regions. Funding is intended for civic projects that involve social services, education, and community development. Projects must Projects must benefit the Shreveport-Bossier communities.

The Rotary Club of Shreveport supports the community through funding of select projects that benefit local area residents and provide opportunities for members of the club to actively participate and provide recognition of Rotary.

Estimated Size of Grant:

The maximum amount for any one grant awarded will be $5,000.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Local nonprofit organizations may apply.

Pre-Application Information:

Applications must be postmarked no later than February 18, 2020.

This year's recipients of the grant awards will be announced no later than May 16, 2020.

Beginning with the 2018-2019 grant cycle an organization that received a Major award ($1,000-$5,000) may submit a grant but will only be considered for a $300 Honorarium award for the next two award cycles. This includes any organization that receives a District Grant submitted by the Club. Organizations falling within this category are: Volunteers for Youth Justice, Gingerbread House, Holy Angels, Literacy Volunteers at Centenary College, Shreveport Opera, MLK Health Center, InterCity Entrepreneur Institute and LA Association for the Blind.
