Grants to Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi non-profit organizations that improve the lives of citizens by providing innovative programs that address the focus areas of: community development, education, health & wellness, and wealth building. The purpose of these grants is to promote the creation and implementation of programming that will contribute to the well-being of local residents.

To be eligible for a grant, the applying organization must meet both of the following criteria:
- Possess tax-exempt status under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code
- Possess a certificate from the Mississippi Secretary of State that designates it as a public charity or exempt for the state of Mississippi

The Foundation does not provide grants to individuals, nor does it make grants for personal needs or business assistance. Additionally, funds are not awarded for lobbying activities; ongoing general operating expenses or existing deficits; endowments; capital costs including construction, renovation, or equipment; or international programs.

Mississippi organizations must register and receive a certificate that designates it as a public charity or exempt for the state of Mississippi when submitting a full proposal. The application - Form URS - and instructions are available here:

All other organizations must apply and receive a notice of exemption from the Mississippi Secretary of State’s office. The application – FORM CE — and instructions are available here:

If the proposed work aligns with the Foundation’s priorities and goals, eligible organizations may submit the Grant Inquiry Form found on on-line at:

The form seeks basic information about your organization and a brief overview of the concept. If the review of the initial inquiry is favorable, applicants will be contacted to discuss the request in greater detail.

Within six weeks of the Foundation’s receipt of your Grant Inquiry Form, you will receive one of the following:
- A request to submit a full proposal
- A request for more information
- A letter informing you that your project will not be supported at this time
